Dr Matt Dickinson BSc (Hons), MBBS, MSc, FRCA, FFICM

Dr Dickinson qualified from St Bartholomew’s & the Royal London Hospital Medical School. Before commencing his training in anaesthesia he held posts in A&E at the Royal London Hospital and medicine at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

He trained in anaesthesia at St Bartholomew’s & the Royal London Hospitals and in the Wessex region. He undertook further specialist training as a Fellow at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, University of Sydney, in anaesthesia for upper GI surgery & liver transplantation and vascular anaesthesia. He was awarded a grant from the NIAA’s Stanley Rowbotham fund in order to visit the HPB unit at New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre.

He is the department’s NIAA Quality, Audit and Research Coordinator (QuARC). He was involved in the development of UCL’s MSc in Perioperative Medicine.
