Adrian Wong

BSc(Hons), MRCP(UK), FRCA, EDIC, FFICM

Dr Wong has been a consultant in anaesthesia & intensive care since 2015. Having previously worked in Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital London, he joined the Royal Surrey County Hospital in 2019.

He is a member of the Clinical Trainee Committee of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and is an examiner for the European Diploma of Intensive Care. He sits on the committees for the Intensive Care Society CUSIC (Core Ultrasound Skills in Intensive Care).

He is a national and international trainer for critical care ultrasound, teaching on many courses.

His interests are clinical governance, safety reporting and critical care ultrasonography.

He strongly believes in FOAMed, and FOAMus, publishing case examples regularly on Twitter as @avkwong. He runs the ESICM blog and is an editor on TheBottomLine website.

In his free time he enjoys building Lego, playing Destiny 2 on the playstation and is an ardent fan of Eurovision.
